FYJC CAP Round Explained
CAP means Centralised Admission Process. In FYJC admissions, students submit preferences and allotments are made round by round based on merit, eligibility, seat availability, category, quota, and preference order.
Regular Rounds
Regular rounds are the main allotment rounds. A college cutoff in a round shows the approximate closing percentage for a particular stream, medium, category, quota, and college category combination.
Special Rounds
Special rounds usually happen after regular rounds when vacant seats remain or specific admission rules are announced. Cutoffs can move differently in these rounds because the available seats and participating students are different.
How Cutoff Movement Helps
- If your percentage is comfortably above past cutoffs, the option may be stronger.
- If your percentage is close to the cutoff, the option may depend on round movement and competition.
- If your percentage is below the cutoff, keep it only with enough safer options below it.
